InoculateIT 5.2.9 works under WinXP. It's free. Get it from http://cws.internet.com

Hi ya Sharon,
First make sure you have InoculateIT setup files (about 3.5 MB), not an update files (about 600-700 kb).
To get setup files do a search in cws.internet.com. I myself have WinXP Pro final and install it and have no problem at all. One of the advantage of InoculateIT is you can get signature update once every 3 days. Norton only once a week and some other vendors even once a month!!
InoculateIT was VetAV previously, which an AV specialized for corporate.

When I try to install InoculateIT 5.2.9, on my Win XP Pro, I get this message:
"Windows NT build number 2600 has been detected.
Resident Protection is not supported on this build of windows NT and will not be installed on this computer."

Virus killer without Resident Protection isn't much worth. So I guess that InoculateIT 5.2.9 still isn't compatible with Win XP.

Tried Norton 2002, eitehr got hang ups during install or bluscrenns during daily work. Also automatic reboots...

Tried also Mac Afee (newes trial version), could install seems to work, but could not open the control program to configur it, not did the update work

Tried Kapersky or some thing similar, it worked fin but is not streight forward in daily use, very complicated and not very flexible...
