This might be in the wrong forum, so sorry if it is. I'm having a small inconvience with Yahoo Messenger. That stupid built-in toolbar is annoying the hell out of me. I even deleted it from my Add/Remove Programs, and like spyware its still there and working. I've scanned with Ad-Aware, CCleaner, SpyBot, and manual Search to see if I could delete it. They all came back with nothing. Someone please tell me how to destroy this problem. Please and thank you

Whenever you install software you should take the time to read what's on the screen instead of just clicking 'next'. You had the option NOT to install the toolbar, but my guess is you rushed thru the installation. Bottomline is, YOU installed it!

The above link should help you to remove it....

You will find the toolbar at;

Control Panel
Add/remove programs
Yahoo applications (Right click)
Yahoo Online Protection (click on plus sign)
Toolbar with pop up blocker (check the box and hit uninstall - worked for me)

Good luck, Bob

If you wake up to see the day - it can't be that bad.

Miranda IM, GAIM for windows, trillian ... to name but a few alternatives, that allow you to use the most common instant meesengers (icq/aim, yahoo, masn, gtal, irc) without having each client installed (and of course without having to deal with their annoyances :-)

Today's subliminal thought is: 'Calm down ... it's only ones and zeros.'
