Annoying Toolbar loads in Taskbar

Whenever I log into Windows XP, there is an annoying Toolbar that loads in my Taskbar, called Search Assistant (something to do with a program called Blaze Find that I have removed, somekind of AdWare I think). I have unchecked it (from the Toolbars menu on the Taskbar) time and time again and restarted, but this has no effect. I have also checked through my the startup items in MSConfig and it's not in there.

I forgot: find them in google or yahoo... and be sure to update them before checking the system... there's an option in both for web update

I am having the smae problem. Except I managed to get rid of the search assistant toolbar from my computer. However, I can no longer save my taskbar settings. I want to have a quick launch toolbar, but I do not want to have to 'unlock taskbar', add quick launch, resize, and relock my toolbar every time I load windows. Any help in solving this issue would be appreciated.

PS - Spyware sucks

I contacted Microsoft support and it has taken me a month to get this same problem fixed. This is what I did to fix the problem. 1. Download the "HijackThis" tool from the following link.
