Hi!
All of a sudden in IE6 if there's a pop-up window or if I open a link in a new window there's a sound (the same sound that is used for errors i windows). It didn't use to be there.
I know this is not very much info but does anyone know how to get rid of it?

have you tried locating it in the Sounds and Audio Device Properties in the control panel, and turning it off in there?

I believe Dan is on the correct path. It seems as though one of the default sounds has been changed. Check the following:
1. Open the Control Panel and double click on the Sounds & Audio devices icon. 2. Select the 'Sounds' tab and scroll down to and select the "Menu Popup" option, which should be a selection under the Windows section. 3. Check to see which sound is set to kick off.
