Annoying Internet Security Alerts

I just got a new PC that came with Norton Internet Security 2004 and it seems like every 15 minutes I get a new alert asking me what to do. Is there anyway to permanently stop all alerts? I've tried the free Agnitum Outpost Firewall before and that had an options called "Allow Most" which stopped all annoying alerts.

isnt that defeating the whole point of using a firewall? if u allow every program to access the internet and thus recieve no alerts, you mightaswell disable the firewall and get some free Memory back

orangutang, I use ZA so I'm not familiar with Norton's. Take a look at your settings and see if there is an option to turn off alerts. Blocking is a good thing. An alert each time is a royal P.I.A. Don't kill the firewall, if all else fails, maybe you can have the alert put in some sort of log rather than put onscreen. HTH. Ed in Texas.
