I have a Dell laptop that used to have a broadband connection, but have since switched to dial up. Here's my problem - whenever I double click on the blue e, I get a message that says, "Web page not available offline." there are 2 buttons below, one that says Connect and the other that says "Stay Offline" I click connect, and my dial up connects me to the internet.
My question is, how do I make that Offline screen not come up when I want to connect to the internet? I never want to stay offline, I just want to connect. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

Go into internet options

start > controlpanel > internet options (has to be on classical view)

in here click on the "connection tab" and in the middle put the dot into always dial my default connection.....also at the top make sure ure ISP is set as ure default connection

Thank you for your response, balakir, but there already was a check in the "always dial my default connection" box, and the default connection was correct. Are there any other ideas????
