During the Start up, I get this following error message...

"Windows cannot load the locally stored profile. Possible causes of this error include insufficient security rights or a corrupt local profile. If this problem persists, contact your network administrator.

DETAIL - An I/O operation initiated by the registry failed unrecoverably. The registry could not read in, or write out, or flush, one of the files that contain the system's image of the registry. "

And when I logd in to the System, I found I have lost all my files and folders in Desktop and as well as C:\Documents and Settings...I dont have any of my files anywhere....

And if I store any files and restart my compurer, those files that I saved will be lost. In addition I lost my MS Office that was installed in my system.

Please kindly help. How can I retrieve this error? How can I retrieve my files? I lost my office files also...

Very important, Please kindly suggest....

... open any folder<->window click "tools" (tab) then folder options> view (tab) "check/tick" show hidden files and folders

... open "My Computer" and C: (drive)

... I found a folder ...it might of been in "C:\Documents and Settings" .... navigate to {username} ....old profile... which contained the data including "desktop" files etc
