Hey all, Here's the deal, I got an AMD 64 4000+ processor and a P4 3.2GHz HT processor (I also have the motherboards for both) and i'm trying to figure out which one would be best. I use my PC for gaming and internet most of the time if that helps. I want to use the best processor and can't figure out which one is the better one so that's why i need your help!

Internet is so slow that there won't be any noticeable difference between them.
Can't you compare game 'frame rates' between the two to compare them.
Do yourself a favor BACKUP!

I would have to say that the AMD 64 would be the best bet. From what I gather, that is a newer Pentium 4 (the Prescott or Cedar Mill core) correct me if I am wrong. These have extra model numbers like 640 or 641 (for the 3.2Ghz versions). The gaming performance for the AMD I think is better, you won't notice a difference for internet surfing as ham30 said.
