Please help me,
I have upgraded to windows XP and I am trying to insall my modem, I have finally got it to recognise it but I do not have the drivers to run it, as i had no internet I ran Win 98 side by side with xp and this picks up my modem on COM4 but XP only lets me add a modem on COM 1 or 2, I have been to the intel developers website but all the drivers on this site do not work and the 2000 drivers do not show when i try to add them!!!!!, please HELPAdam Docrat
Its ok I have the same modem as you. I have zipped up the original 2K drivers off the CD (644k).

I have tried the drivers found at http://developer.intel.com/design/modems/support/drivers.htm, but they don´t work for me. When I install them, the system reboots in the middle of the install process. I talked to an experienced programmer that have designed drivers for windows and he tells me that it must be something wrong with the .sys file included in the driver package. Do anyone else had the same problem? If you found a way to solve this could you please email me? If you found any other drivers please send them or the url where to find them.

The win 2k drivers work fine with winxp. for the com1 com2 problem: remove modem and boot windows, this will automatically install the driver on com3. Otherwise it will only let you choose between com1 and com2.

Hey, I'm having trouble getting XP to recognise my mode, probably because it's only searching for it on COM ports 1 and 2, and it's on COM port 4. How can I change it to COM port 2 without having to restore Win98 or placing 98 on a different HD partition? If these zipped drivers everyone's talking about will help, please Email them to me at bottledrichie@hotmail.com
