All Programs Problem!!!??

Hey All;
On my "All Programs" menu, it is showing everything that I have installed on my computer twice. First there is everything that's installed with the programs original icon, then there is the same thing again except this time instead of the original icon, it has a folder with what looks like some type of document with six little colorful squares on it. Well, I don't want everything on my menu twice like that, and I don't want that funky looking folder icon either....is there a way to remove all that are on there twice along with all that have that stupid looking icon??? Thanx for your help!!!
