I think my office desktop got a virus or spyware. Now once i start up my pc. it run through the windows xp screen. my wallpaper come up, but all my icon and start tool bar is disappear. i try to do Ctrl, Alt, Del. a windows come up it said "task mananger was disable" etc...... In addition, i did try to put the xp disc try to do repari, but it is not reading the cd drive either. (I did change my BIOS to boot the cd drive) I don't want to format my pc, b/c i have a lot of information inside and it network to al the pc. Please someone tell me what to do ASAP. Thanks!!

I don't know about the start menu not being there, but I had a similar problem witha friend's computer not showing the desktop icons. How I fixed it was, I right-clicked on the desktop, clicked "Arrange Icons By" and then clicked on "Show Desktop Icons."
