Hey,
recently I've been having issues resuming a transfer with a buddy of mine on AIM. He's trying to send me a fairly large file, around 4GB. Sometimes the resume goes smoothly, but lately a box pops up asking if I would like to resume the aborted transfer. When this happens, it automatically overwrites the previous file. Any suggestions? Thanks.

AIM Resume Problems, SWAG, sounds as though it's lost it's place and can't remember where to start in so it just starts over.
What happens if you tell it 'no' and later combine the files using a word processor? Sounds like a P.I.A., but beats losing everything. Hopefully, you won't get interrupted too often.
HTH.

Thanks for the reply. What I've been doing now to prevent the loss of data is just making a copy of the file and placing it in another directory. I'll have to see how things go next time we give the transfer a shot.
