aim kicked off on standby

Upon my computer going into standby/hibernate my AIM is kicked off. For instance: 10 minutes ago I put an away message and went to get something to eat. I just came back and the computer was in standby mode, I wiggled the mouse (to exit standby), and the AIM log-in window was up and my away message window was still up. Running Windows XP Home , AIM 5.9.3861, broadband connection... Suggestions? Thanks, eskiled
