My AIM (aol instant messenger) keeps disconnecting and then reconnting this happens all day long. I will log in and anywhere from 5-30 mins it will disconnect me, now i am connected on a home network and on the other comp AIM never disconnects, ive tried the following with no solution: Upgrade AIM
Downgrade AIM
Reinstall AIM
Rebooting my modem and router
Direct connect to the modem without routeranyone know a fix?

Nope, same problem though. Quite annoying. I've reformatted and i still does it, so now my theory is that it has something to do with my router and newer versions of AIM... But if u've downgraded, maybe not; how far back have you gone? It doesn't happen on my laptop which uses the last Win95 version. Now that I think about it, maybe it's something with XP SP2.. do u have that? Well anyway, let me know if u make any progress with this.

Same problem. Am using cable and wi-fi, never had the problem until going wi-fi.
Never upgraded to Service Pak 2, felt that there were too many problems.
I have the latest, or, so they say, edition of AIM 5.9.3690
Hoping someone can figure out what the problem is as it is most annoying.
