I have this thing in my AIM Info that says "Whoaaa...look at what I found, click here". I got it from clicking the same link in someone else's info. And now this link stays in my info, if I erase it and put in something else, it just deletes what I put in and goes over it. I even reinstalled AIM, I don't know what to do!

that might be it, run an online scan at:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
and/or
http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/
when you get the exact virus name do a search for it at trendmicro.com or http://www.sarc.com/avcenter/vinfodb.html
and follow the removal info there.

Try uninstaling AIM then deleting the folder it was installed in completley and reinstalling AIM. That should get rid of it.
If not get back. There are other things that can be done.

You might like to have a look at IMSecure from Zone Labs. It from the same manufactures as Zone Alarm but is designed to protect IM users.

i had the realphx virus and was able to successfully remove it. then, some of my friends got the talkstocks.net virus (with the link "wooaahh look what i found! click here!")... and i was able to successfully remove it..

unfortunately, now, many of my friends have a new one, that inserts a link that says "I can't believe I found (your screenname here)'s Picture here HAHAHAHA"

and links back to buddypicture.net..

ive been completely unable to find any removal tool for this one... can anyone help me?? please email me at miisanthropyx@hotmail.com...

I've got the "I can't believe I found (your screenname here)'s Picture here HAHAHAHA" bug too. I'd also appreciate any solutions for removing it; I've been looking but can't find any way to get rid of it other than temporarily removing it from my profile by deleting it each time I log in.

My kid brother got that one and he's been trying to get rid of it for a while now. I personally haven't seen the thing in action and I'm not gonna get it for myself to check it out, but I did a search for buddypictures.net and found a site that claims to have a removal tool. I'm waiting back on results to know if it is legit or not. The site is: http://nuintari.net/
