I've read all the posts concerning the W2K and XP issues with lockups upon booting at the agp440.sys file. I've resolved MY problem, whether or not it helps your particular problem is unknown. My problem was resolved by moving my ATI Rage card from IRQ 11 to IRQ 10. It seem sin this machine (Dell GX400) the AGP ports and ATI were both set on IRQ 11 and Windows didn't like it too much. After changing the IRQ in BIOS, the system rebooted right into XP Pro with no problems. I hope thi sinfo helps some of you out there with similar trouble
