I've heard of the problems cuased by agp440, and read the other threads, but my problem doens't seem to be as serious as others. I booted in safemode once and noticed agp440.sys took about 5-10secs to load compared to everything that came up with no hesitation. I guess this is what's making my comp load a little slow on the splash screen. After about 6-7 progress bars have passes, it hangs for about 3-5 seconds before about another 5 progress bars pass. I'm guessing this is caused by the time it takes for that agp440.sys to do its thing. So, as you can see, im not having the problems others have where they can't load windows at all, but this can get annoying when I know this shouldn't be going this slow. Done updates, chkdsk, sfc /scannow, defrag, msconfig, services.msc, and virus scans. Should I just live with this or try to fix it, and if i delete these agp440 files, will it screw with my video card stuff? Thanks.
