I got a FX5700 Video Card

How Do I find out which X AGP am I using? I tried to go to properties >> settings >> advance, then neither in Adapter nor Geforce FX 5700, state what my AGP speed is. Or is there any program that will allow me to check? Thanks

Bad guy registered my name

I am looking what my video AGP is on now. I know my motherboard supports 8X, but I just wanna make sure that my video card is running at 8X, when i go to properties >> settings >> advance >> GeForce FX 5700, on Bus it should says the AGP speed for this card, but it shows AGP (PCI Mode). That's something wrong, I tried another driver and it's the same.

Jump inot the bios and have a look at your settings.

Make sure the primary display is showing AGP if it isnt chnage it from PCI to agp.

I think that may fix your problem.

Regards

Knowing the current AGP X is good to know. I have another computer with a GeForce ti4600. I just checked the AGP X. I discovered it was only running at 1X. Recently I reinstalled Windows 98SE and the Nvidia driver. I had forgotton to reinstall the VIA chipset drivers. After I installed the VIA 4in1 drivers the AGP is now set to 4X. I guess that explains why the graphics seemed slower than they should have been.

Gentleman take note what egkenny said.

Rule no 1 Frist thing to install is the chipset drivers from your mother board support disc right after windows boots for the very first time after a clean install.
