Since upgrading from Win98SE to Win XP Pro I cannot get my GeForce card to run at 4X mode. I have tried all the registry fixes on the net, installed the latest VIA 4in1 drivers, made sure BIOS settings are right & nothing works.
The registry fixes did work when still using Win98. None of the fixes seem specific for Win XP.

Anyone else with this problem?

You did try to change it in the BIOS right?

Upgrading shouldn affect if it runs at 2x or 4x maybe you BIOS resetted and that is where you need to change it.

Yes my BIOS settings are correct & set for 4X. I even tried changing my AGP comp driving values as per Leadtek without success either.
It is extremely frustrating as I am enjoying WinXP but a few days ago when still running with Win98 the card ran at 4X mode.

Try this, go to the manufacturer's web site, in this case, VIA, and download the latest driver's and SAVE it on your hard drive. When it's done downloading, open the folder in which you saved it in and right click on the setup.exe file(or if it's just 1 file then that would be the one you right click on) go to properties and click on the Compatabiltiy tab, and check, Run this program in compatability mode for Windows 2000, click on apply and then run the setup. After rebooting your computer, got to divice manger(Control Panel,System, click on Hardware tab, then click where it says device manager) then up on top click on view and check show hidden devices. Click on System Devices and scroll down, you should see VIA CPU to AGP Controller. If you see that, then you AGP 4X on. That worked for me and i got a VIA Apollo Pro 133 chipset on my motherboard. Hope that helps.

Thank-you, finally someone with advice different to what I have already tried numerous times.
Leadtek has been no help at all & not understanding of the specific problem.

I let you know if it works.

Ta.
