I recently acquired an old Agfa SnapScan 1212u scanner but can't seem to get it to work. I downloaded the 2.0.0.9 drivers which installed fine. When I plug the scanner in Windows sets it all up and reports that it's working fine. But when I try to run the ScanWise program, or acquire an image from the scanner in any program I get a pop up box error that reads:
"A communication problem occured. Open the log file to find out more"

Benhermies, SWAG, since you say it's an oldie, is it possible you have a conflict between NTFS and FAT32? What if you have it run as if it were 98? HTH. Ed in Texas.
