After I dloaded SP1 i cannot open my dial up connection. Nor can i make any new dial up connections. So i uninstalled sp1 and it works again. Is there any fix or am i going to have to wait for them to fix that.

This one took me a very long time to sort out because I had the same problem in that my netscape 7 no longer brought up my dial up after sp1 was installed. Anyway I got it in the end!! try this: right click on 'my computer' then click on Manage. Double click on Services and applications, then double click on Services. Then double click on Remote Access Auto connection manager. Change the start up type from manual to automatic. try also clicking on start which is just below. It seems that sp1 changes this setting??? Anway give it a go and let me know.

I am having the same problem. I tried what you said to do but when i clicked on start it gave me an access 5 error. How can I correct this? I think this may be my problem and I can't seem to find anyone that can help me.....I have WinXP and did the sp1 update. One failed and the other one is still in progress from 9/11/02. Is there any way to either finish the process or delete this? SP1 for winXP is not in add/remove. Can anyone please help me. I am going crazy. I really think that is why my connections are messed up. If SP1 is not in Add/Remove then it sounds like it was not installed correctly. See what happens when you install again like you are currently trying to do and try my steps again. If this does not work see if you can now remove SP1 with add/remove and see if your dial up will work?
