After restart:No Icons or Menu

A few days ago, my brother restarted the computer and when he logged in, the desktop was compleatly gone. No icons. No start menu. Soon after, I discovered the same problem on my account, as well as my sister's. After searching for an answer for many hours, I have come up with nothing. Awaiting any suggestions!

They should come back if you open Task Manager, then start a new task of explorer.exe
At the top of this page you can do a search for no taskbar or icons

Thanks chuck, but no dice. Links didn't help. Ive done the serach... probably 5 times already. And 10 more times on other sites. Soo many answers to do many... OTHER problems. I really appreciate the help though.

Tyler, If you haven't tried this yet go to the link below and scroll down to line 117(left column) and download the "Restore Taskbar and Start Menu" reg fix. Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it and answer yes to the import prompt.

Relyt, It's like any other download so just double click on Restore Taskbar and Start Menu and save it to somewhere you can find it. After that just double click the .reg file and answer yes to the import prompt. This will merge the contents of the .reg file into your registry. You may want to reboot afterwards.
