after format HD install winxp setup

OS: pentium 3
CPU/Ram: 800 mzh. 256 ram

i just format my hardisk 40gb.. and install windows XP. after windows setup and restart to install windows. I got a message saying: MISSING OPERATION SYSTEM..
How to Fix that probem.. any one Help.. thanks

Check that hard disk is set active.Use fdisk after booting to a Windows 98SE or ME dos prompt.Select "2" from fdisk interface.

There may be two ways.
The first: the wrong bootable device is set in BIOS. So your system tries to boot from a CD-ROM or another HDD.
The second idea: the HDD MBR was damaged before or while installation. This way you need to boot into the recovery console. Two commands 'fixmbr' and 'fixboot' will help you.
