I recently downloaded "Ad-aware",ran a "quick scan" and it found 67 "registry key types".some examples:software/hopper, :software/cydoor.Are these all safe to delete??I run windows XP in a new Sony VAIO computer.

You can back them up before you delete them, in case you discover a program that won't run without the spyware. Otherwise it should be quite safe to get rid of them. I would also do a 'deep registry scan' to make sure you get them all.
