go to www.lavasoftusa.com and download ad-aware

also look for spybot: search & destroy.

You have a 3rd party software installed on your computer that is designed to provide you with ads even if you're not online...the software was probably installed unintentional when you clicked to install a program from the internet

SpyBot search and destroy is a good idea.It can be downloaded from wilders.org or lurkhere.com.Be sure to use online tab and download the tempfile plug-in when you have it installed. Then add the other updates(with the exception of the langauge files). After that, you might want to check out a program called SpyBlocker.(find with Google search)SpyBlocker has a 15 day trial available, for $19.99 you can get a lifetime license with updates included.Spyblocker is best used with start-up automatically at boot up.Works excellent with IE6 and Opera. It's not a removal program, just a blocker.Hope this helps.JB

FYI: ad-aware is not like a virus program, it is not running in the background screening everything, it only scans and removes when you run it.
