I read on here that if you type 'control userpasswords2' then you can go to the advanced user management options. I also read that those options are supposed to be there in the advanced tab when you click on User Accounts in Control Panel if you have Windows XP pro. Well, I don't have an advanced tab in User Accounts and I'm running Windows XP pro with SP2 even. Anyone know why I don't see the advnaced tab? Is there anyway to enable it? I disabled a bunch of services, are there any services that need to be running in order to get the advanced tab? If anyone could please help, I'd appreciate, thanks a lot.

This could help (as long as your OS is XP Pro)
About User Management and Security in Windows XP
If your OS is XP Home, it only has a limited User Management compared to XP Pro (CLICK ME).
If no joy, post back and we'll try figure out other suggestions.

I knew about that. The problem actually is that I was trying to figure out how to enable the ctrl-alt-del screen at logon with winxp pro. The Microsoft website told me to go to control panel > user accounts > advanced tab. I assume that to mean that when you double click on user accounts in control panel it will bring up the same screen as when you run 'control userpasswords2'. It's the same screen you get when you double click on user accounts in Windows 2000 pro. But from the User Accounts screen I get there is no advanced tab. It doesn't even have any advaned options. And even if you use Administrative Tools it still won't give you the option to enable or disable the ctrl-alt-del screen and other funcitons. And yes, I am using Windwos XP pro. I just find it wierd that the Microsoft website assumes that when you double click user accounts you'd get the advanced user management window as if I were to run 'control userpasswords2'. As far as I know that is not the case. Is there a way to make it like that? thanks a lot.

How about this one?
How can I enable/disable the Ctrl-Alt-Del to enter logon information?
This one requires that you edit the registry. Be careful.

I am using XP Home at the moment, and this one have a shortcut for the Advanced User Accounts.
1. Open Command prompt.
2. Copy and paste the following:%windir%\System32\control.exe userpasswords2
3. Hit ENTER.
This should open Advanced User Accounts.

Did you even read what I typed? I know about userpasswords2 ok? Jesus christ. And I also know about the registry thing. All I want is to be able to double click user accounts and get all the advanced options. I don't care if there are alternative ways of doing it. Or are those the only ways to do it? ok... please read my post careflly, ok? What are you, Amreican? I know it's not that big a deal but it annoys the s--- out of me. If the Microsoft website says I can go to user accounts and see all the advanced options why in f--- can't I without editing the registry or typing in some bulls--- in run? Did you read carefully? Thanks...
