adobe premiere pro problems

CPU/Ram: custom/ 1 gig

i just got a new computer and put all the adobe video software on, then after i finally get sound running, i start using adobe premiere pro, it works fine for 5-10 mins but then my whole computer crashes and nothing can be done, ive tried removing the program and reinstalling it, but that didnt work, can anyone help me??? (the same thing happens when i play unreal tournament 2003 right when the online game starts)

Both of those programs are very heavy on the processor.
Could your CPU be overheating (are you overclocking)?
