adobe ocx error

OS: xp home,sp2
CPU/Ram: 512 mb ram

this is a new computer, it came with adobe acrobat ver 6 already installed, but everytime i use the reader i get the error that adobe acrobat ocx.exe has caused an error and needs to close ie. How do i fix this ?

XP Home sp2., Compaq Presario SR1330NX, 512mb ram, AMD Athlon, LAN

My advice would be to upgrade to version 7 of reader - it's free.
