Specs: Windows XP pro Sp3, 1G

We are using IE8 and trying to get to, it says we need to upgrade flash but when I go to the website and try to install it locks up at the activeX bar which I am suppose to click on and install, I try to clear all cache etc and downloaded the latest flash.exe file and installed it but still asking for an upgrade. Why does it lock up?

Try doing a windows update first and then retrying.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

kiwi_hkm, Go to the link below and download the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller for Windows. Follow the instructions on the page and after it's uninstalled restart your computer.

Now go to the link below and install the Flash Player version Make sure that you uncheck the Free Google Toolbar (optional) prior to starting the installation if you don't want it.

Doing the above should correct your problem.

Tried it, uninstalled it and restarted, went back to the adobe website to install flash, it locks up when the activeX bar comes up, so I can't click on it to download and install.

The only way it will work is I download the flash upgrade and install it, just won't do it through the website, it's locks IE8 when the download bar comes up, Ihave several machines that did this, I downgraded to IE 7 and its ok, not sure why it won't work with IE 8

Problem should be solved!

Thanks, that's what I did but if there is an update I have to do it again, have to search for it.
