When I try to log onto the Administrator accounts on any of my three pc's all running XP-Home I get the following error: "Unable to log you on because of an account restriction". I know what my password is because I reset it by running "control userpasswords2". Is there something that I'm missing, does the password has to be a particular password to get in, is there a register tweak that I'm not aware of, or I’m just missing it all together?
I've tried the following suggested by Hooner:
"In Control Userpasswords2 have you tried UNchecking the "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer." ?
Not very secure, but if it works...........” had no luck listed above and the same error comes up.Hooner also suggested:
"Failing that, simply copy your Documents and Settings folder for each account, create new admin accounts, and paste them into the respective accounts."
I really don't want to perform this action because of limited space on my HDD.I'm sure that I'm entering in the correct password because when I don't I get a totally different error.
Any other suggestions PLZ
Thanks in advance, PDN
