Just create a new user account - new accounts are given admin rights by defalt in XP. Go to Control Panel<User Accounts

You don't. You can only create an acount with admin rights WITH an account that has admin rights. Wouldn't make any sense to allow restricted accounts to create admin accounts, now does it?

yeah true but I know some people can hack into the computer to get a limited account computer administrator. I was looking for steps to do that.

"new accounts are given admin rights by defalt in XP". That's completely incorrect. The only account that's given Admin automatically is the default Administrator account. New accounts are users until privileges are elevated.
farleft, just my $.02, but if you don't know how to make an account part of the Administrator's Group, then you shouldn't have Admin privileges.

You keep changing your story. First you state that you get new laptops that you need to set up for new users, now you are stating that you are trying to hack into your own PC.

tomao, if you're posting a new question, you should create a new thread and not piggy-back someone elses.
