Log into the *universal* administrators account from safe mode and make the necessary changes from there - that password should be blank by default.

OK here we go:

0. Boot the computer in Safe Mode by turning the machine on and immediately pressing the F8 key several times until the Advanced Windows menu appears.

1. Use the arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode and press the ENTER key.

2. At the login screen, click on the Administrator icon and hit ENTER assuming there was no password previously set.

3. If you do not see an Administrator icon, type in the username Administrator and leave the password field blank and login.

4. Click Start, and pull up to Control Panel (or point to Settings, and then click Control Panel).

5. Click User Accounts and go from there.

If there is no other user account created, I am not sure what account you are trying to modify then.

The default administrator's account is not one you will be able to delete unfortunately.

Congratulations. You will need to get a new copy of Windows for that machine.

If you get in that way as above just go to control panel and delete all the users accounts.
You cannot delete the guest account or the system admin which you are logged in on.
