Just use Ophcrack to find your administrator password. Nothing to decode, just boot from the CD and wait.

I've never used that software but you probably don't have to change it.

But.... If you can't remember it, then what is the big deal about changing it?

Ophcrack doesn't change the password, it just lists all alphanumeric user logon passwords that are on the local machine. AFAIK, Ophcrack can't determine domain logon passwords, yet.

" But.... If you can't remember it, then what is the big deal about changing it?"

One possible reason could be that he's trying to break into someone's machine without leaving evidence (like a changed password). Of course, there may be other reasons but, in any case, Ophcrack is the perfect tool for recovering (not changing) user passwords.

Please let us know if you found someone's advice to be helpful.

Oh well, if you prefer to remain ignorant, so be it. I can't help somebody who doesn't want to be helped.

Please let us know if you found someone's advice to be helpful.
