I have a motherboard model (ASUSTeK Computer INC. P4G533LA REV 1.xx) which had a celeron 2.5Ghz 100 bus speed processor. I replaced the processor with a Pentium 4 2.0Ghz 400 bus processor. When I checked with 'belarc' it shows that the bus speed is still at 100. Does anyone know if there are jumpers, etc to change the bus to 400. The way it stands now, I see no difference, if anything, it might be slower. Do I need to post more information? thanks for a reply franbarb

So what's the problem here?
FYI: Your Pentium 4 actually doesn't use a 400 MHz front-side bus. It uses a 100 MHz bus, however Intel "Quad Pumps" the data so that four bits can be sent along the bus as compared to just one from earlier processors.
