I just formated and reinstalled Windows XP and software. After installing Outlook, I replaced the Outlook.pst file with my old one that I had saved. Everything in Outlook works fine, but when I compose a new email and click on "To" to select contacts, I get this error message: "The address list could not be displayed. The contacts folder associated with this list could not be opened; it may have been moved or deleted, or you do not have permissions. For information on how to remove this folder from the Outlook Address Book, see Microsoft Outlook Help."
How can I get my address book working right again? Thanks in advance!!

I finally figured it out. For anyone else who might have this problem, this is what you do:
Open Outlook, Click on Tools/Email Accounts, then select "view or change existing directories or address books" and click next. Highlight Outlook Address Book and click Remove. Close Outlook.
Open Outlook, and then close Outlook.
Open Outlook, go into the same menu as before and instead of clicking remove, click Add and then select Outlook Address Book. Add it and then you will be prompted to restart Outlook. This fixes the problem. Hope this helps someone.
