I tried to bring up my <Address Bar> without success even though I can see at the top of my monitor the word <Address>. There is nothing there to open up the Address Bar.

Is there something else I could do to access the <Address Bar>?

I had no need to use the <Address Bar> before so that's why I am at a lost in this simpliest of tasks!

Did you right click your Toolbar and checkmark "Address Bar"? If it's checkmarked and you only see the word "Address" right click your Toolbar and unlock the Toolbars. You should then see a perforated verticle line to the left of the word Address. Put your pointer over that verticle line till it turns into a 2 sided arrow then hold your left mouse button down and drag downwards or ro the right untill the Address window appears then release the left mouse button. You could then right click your Toolbar and Lock the Toolbars.
