Adding users to this computer

I am way over my head on this one. The computer file system is NTFS. Whenever I add a user account two programs are automatically loaded for that user. The programs are always AVG and Picasa2. Once the account is created and the program icons are present they cannot be removed. I do not want these two programs available to all users of this computer. I have been fighting this for several days and cannot find a solution. One thing, I have not assigned passwords to any of the accounts including the administrator if fear they cannot be changed or removed. Thanks

Some program ask when installing if you wish all users to have access to the program or not. You may have selected that option, as it is usually the default. Explore the folder for each program and see if you can find a place to change the settings.

Or, login with an Administrator account and remove the icons from the All Users desktop. Or, the Start Menu if that's where you're seeing them as the other user.
Or, do you not want the program to even be visible in the System Tray? That's a different issue.
Life's more painless for the brainless.

AVG defaults to all users and you don't have the choice. It's a bit pointless having an Anti-virus application if some users can boot up without it. Don't know about Picasa2. Coming from Google there is no telling what it gets up to.

Right on Jennifer. I deleted the icons in the All Users folder and that took care of that. Thanks Another satisfied user!
