I am not sure what the technical name is, but does anyone know how to add personalized shortcuts to windows side-bar menus?
Am am talking about 1 of 2 places. First, if you click any link and "save as" a standard Windows dialog box appears. On the left side of the pane there is a number of shortcuts such as "My Documents," "Desktop," etc. Is it possible to add your own shortcuts here.
Secondly, it would also be nice to be able to add my own shortcuts to the blue left hand pane that is located on any windows explorer window (if no "Explorer Bar" options are selected). However, this one would probably be more difficult because menu items seem to be linked to which window you open.
I know it is easily modifiable in Gnome and it would be nice to have this feature in Windows as well, hacked or legit. Please let me know if anyone has any ideas.

i Think that in win explorer this can be done with group policy 'Items displayed in place bar' under win explorer.
Or maby this webpage will help
