Can anyone tell me how to remove a program from the add/remove program list,
As every time i try it does nothing at all no errors or anything like that,
Is there a registry key i can edit to remove it as the program is no longer on my hard drive ??
Thank's in advance.

If the program is on the Add/Remove list it will still be there Waz.
You may have removed a shortcut which is not the same as removing it from the list.
What is the program?
WolfeyOn a hot summers night would you offer your throat to the Wolf with the Red Roses?

The program should be listed as a subkey under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

If you removed it through, say, Windows Explorer, you removed the uninstall file, and therefore you can't remove it through Add/Remove. You either have to reinstall the program, then remove it through Add/Remove,which is probably the best way since there may be a lot of stuff remaining in the registry, or try to remove it all over your computer, piece by piece.

If the program has really gone from your PC, you can remove from the list as follows.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\
Name of program
Delete the keyPhilC

Thank's HiJinx And PhilC That registry key did the trick.
And thank's to everyone else who tried to help :)

Good news. But I'll bet there are still remnants of the program in the regisry. Whether or not that matters depends on what program it is.

Ran a test with a program I was uninstalling anyway. Wouldn't delete in add/remove. Deleted it manually in WE. Deleted key in registry as suggested in earlier posts. Searched for references to program, found dozens. Don't want anyone to be misled into thinking that deleting the key as directed in earlier posts actually uninstalls the program.
