Hi all,

I have WinXP on my PC and I was wondering if it is possible to install Linux on my system with the need to delete any of the gata currently saved on my PC.

Am I right in saying that I need to create a second partition, in addiction to my C drive, inorder to do this? If so how do I go about doing this?

Any other tips or suggestions?

Thanks for your help,

Baz.

Sorry, that should be "WITHOUT the need to delete any of the data currently saved on my PC."

If you have a broadband connection, you can download/install SuSE linux via ftp. It has a partition manager that can resize your NTFS partition. You will have to download a ftp install disk and burn it to a cd.

You can also run a stand-alone linux version like Knoppix without changing anything. I recommend that route for you.

The answer is, yes, you need to have a linux partition other than the XP partition.
