Add Hardware Wizard

How can I disable the "add hardware wizard"? Mine keeps saying it has found a printer that is already installed. Also, why does XP want to scan my C drive each time I reboot? I am closing it down properly.

In device manager, is there any yellow attention signs were the printer is? If so there might be a driver problem. Have you let your pc go right through with the scan at startup? If not, do that first.
