Just delete them. I have never had a problem with deleting anything Ad-aware has found. I have used it for years :)

Gator is very invasive. Don't worry about deleting anything that AdAware finds.

you all have good points but you forgot to mention the most important thing.

when you run the ad-aware, and you get ready to delete them make a backup of the items you are deleting. Ad-Aware will ask you to make a backup and where to save it.

Do the backup and if you experience any problems you can retore the backup.

You seem nice and clueless so I'll help you & and make it REALLY easy for you.

Get:

1) RegCleaner 4.3
http://www.vtoy.fi/jv16/shtml/software.shtml

2) Belarc Advisor
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

they're both free.

Now you can scan in peace and look for all the crap that shoulnt be there, make your startup list as short as possible and get rid of all your .dll files that belong to these ad-programs. RegCleaner makes automatic recovery files so delete at will.

any doubts just mail me:
stimpford@yahoo.com

later.

One thing that everyone here forgot to tell you is that if you are running file sharing programs such as KAzza, etc, you will find that it will stop working. You should first, uninstall kazza, then do ad-Ware. To do a much better job use http://beam.to/spybotsd

there is no .com at the end of the url by the way.

I installed a game yesterday called Snood. I did it because I know it refers to Bonzi Buddy asking if I want to install or download it. I then downloaded Spybot and ran it. It did not find any reference to Bonzi Buddy. I then ran AdAware and it found the reference. So why is Spybot so much better than AdAware, which is really way out of date?

NOrmande - Did you get the updates for Spybot? After you download it you need to click on the online button and search for updates, then download all the available ones. Then close spybot and re open and run. Bonzi Buddy is targetd by Spybot.

When you go to the main Spybot page at:

http://patrick.kolla.de/

Click on features and it shows the list of all the nasties Spybot targets.

If u uninstall the Spyware from Kazaa it wont work. Get kazaa lite (www.kazaalite.net i think). it's a fully working version of kazaa with no spyware at all.
