Hi guys,

I'm just wondering if I can have Ad-aware and Spybot installed on the same machine?

Yes you can. Best to run Adaware first when using.

No problem.

Keep in mind, if you are talking about the free versions, they are for cleaning up after you are infected.

Because I like to know the in's & out's of the different programs, I have those & 4 others installed on XP.

Spybot Search & Destroy has an Immunize function that block restrcited sites when you use it.

Try CCleaner, works instantly and cleans up whatever you want it to. I keep an icon in the tray and use it often.

Wow!, I had settled for OtheHill's first responce, and was content. Now, haveing read
Johnw's addition (responce No.3) it's clear to me that I have, if nothing esle, a heap of reading to do.
Responce No.4 settles me a little (thanks OtheHill) as I do have S&D with the Immunize setting on, and I do run CCleaner.
I posted the question because I thought the two malware utillities might, somehow, conflict with eachother, were they to be installed on the same OS.
Thanks Johnw.

Spyware cleaners aren't like AV programs. You can run multiple.
