The motherboard in my XP computer failed. No replacement. Hard drive installed in external case. I'm unable to open the program which I need to access label files (.jwl).

did you try to install the program to the new computer then direct it to open the stored files.

Or copy/move the files to the same folder in C/:programs/adeptec easy cd then have adaptec open the file.

Change Is Good

I don't have an installation disc. Not sure I ever did. It came with my computer 5 years ago. The program resides on my old C:\ drive which is now in an external drive case. I just searched for a .exe file in the ROXIO folder which is a sub-directory in the Program Files folder. There is a CDLabel.exe file there. When I clicked on it, nothing happens.

So is the program Adaptec or Roxio? Adaptec would be an earlier version that is NOT compatible with WinXP.

Roxio would be called Roxio Easy CD Creator 6.

It is actually Roxio Easy CD Creator 6. It was working on my XP computer before the motherboard failed. Now I'm trying to make it work on another XP computer using the original drives in external cases.

That isn't going to work. I am assuming you have Windows on an internal hard drive and you are booting to that OS.

Most all programs rely on the Operating System to work. Because Roxio has no dlls connecting it to the internal OS it won't work.
