ASPI drivers are used for a variety of tasks but primarily to access your optical drives. Are you trying to play music from an optical drive using Winamp? Be cauteous about changing ASPI drivers. In the past there were many issues with Windows versions and burner progams. The result was drives no longer accessable. Look here for more info on ASPI layer drivers: http://aspi.radified.com/
