Hi! As i configure to share my internet connection thru Windows XP and a wireless card (ad hoc) I get the problem that my wireless card cannot get a valid ip address. Thus having already set an ip address the icon beside the clock says "establishing connection" or something likevise.... (not sure what is says in enlgish as I´m running a swedish version...

Try releasing and renewing the ip address by using start>run> type cmd >then type ipconfig /release then type ipconfig /renew Note the space between ipconfig and /, it is required!

Um... in Ad Hoc there is no dhcp server so it will never get a ip address. Manually assign it one.
