I keep getting the following message when trying to open
up a java based animated weather radar page:

Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX
controls on this page.

When I try to go to the advanced tab in internet options,
i notice that the advanced tab is now gone. There is no
way for me to get the security controls for IE. How can
I regain control of the Advanced tab?

p.s. I'm logged in as administrator. and i get this problem. Please Help.

If you go into Internet properties i would lower your Internet security settings... it is peculiar that the advanced tab is missing... you may want to startup the computer in safe mode and login as the hidden admin account and see if the same thing happens...

lastly make sure the XP firewall is disabled and possibly disable your other firewalls if applicable

Renan: your ActiveX settings are on the Security tab, Internet icon, Custom Level button.
