Active X stops some pages from load

CPU/Ram: 900 duron 256 ram

I get an error from windows when i try to open pages such as the windows update page. it says that my setttings will not allow it to open.

Most likely your IE Security Setting has been set too high to allow ActiveX from loading. Go into IE - Tools - Internet Option, and click on Security, click on Custom Level, and look at "ActiveX control and plugins", make sure it is NOT set to "Disable".
