i am using WinXP Pro and no matter what I do, I cannot get the background image to stay on my desktop. I change the background to azul and in approx 5 minutes and it goes back to solid color. I change it again and boom it happens again, I can not find out anything at knowledge base, so I thought I would ask you folks. It is on my wifes laptop Dell Latitude CPx P3700. If anyone knows what I can do, edit registry etc.. Please help, I do not want to reformat and reload just for this problem
Thanks

make sure the image is bitmap and active desktop is disabled, also make sure that the image u are tryin to have on your desktop is located on your local HD not a network drive. That should solve your problem if you make sure you done all of the above
