i have recently come across the error, Active Desktop recovery, and as i google'd the error message, i found the easiest solution is to right-click>properties>desktop>and then changing the background to your prefered wallpaper, but what i found when i tried it was, that there was only one tab after i selected properties, and it was the settings tab, so that means i cannot try to change the background through that way, then i tried the second method, and that is to go and uncheck your hidden and protected OS files and seardh for desktop.htt files, i did that and deleted all .htt files, but nothing, still had the white screen, then i tried the regedit to go and change the decimal to 0, but still nothing, could anyone please assist, but do you no whats funny, when i use the same pc and log on as an administrator then the error is gone but as soon as i log on as that specific user again, then the white screen appear.please help a friend in need
